Thread Lifts in Fort Worth, Texas

Improve Skin Elasticity and Look Instantly Youthful

Thread lifting is a non-surgical procedure for lifting sagging, aging skin. In addition, this treatment stimulates collagen production in your face or neck for a more youthful look. This FDA-approved procedure is a popular facelift alternative for people who want to improve their appearance without painful and invasive surgery. The threads used in this non-surgical facelift treatment activate the body’s natural healing response. Why You Should Have a Thread Lift vs Facelift

For most people, the most significant benefit to having a nonsurgical PDO thread lift, or any type of thread lifting, over a surgical facelift is the reduced recovery time. When you have a surgical facelift. This is a major surgery with many drawbacks, including:

  • Heavy sedation
  • Procedure in a hospital setting with a surgeon
  • Multiple incisions on and around the face
  • Minimal chance of scarring
  • Around the clock assistance for at least three days following the facelift, including childcare, if needed

PDO Threads involve an entirely different experience. For example, thread-lifting procedures often include many benefits:

  • Local anesthesia
  • Procedure in an office setting, usually
  • No invasive incisions needed
  • No chance for scarring, bleeding, or severe complications
  • No need for assistance following the procedure
  • Can return to work immediately following the thread lift
  • Perfect for people who have children at home or those who have busy, demanding careers

The Different Thread Lifts Available

There are many different types of thread lifts available. These options include:
  • Eyebrow thread lift – This procedure lifts sagging or furrowed eyebrows and tightens the skin.
  • Nose thread lift – Threads are injected into the nose to lift, straighten, or slim the nose. This can also be combined with dermal fillers for a more enhanced appearance.
  • Neck thread lift – This thread lift reduces and lifts loose skin on the neck, diminishing the appearance of necklines.
  • Cat or fox eye thread lift — this type of thread lift involves lifting the eyebrows towards the temples. This gives your eyes a more “cat-like” or “fox-like” appearance.

What to Expect During Your Thread Lift Procedure

Before any aesthetic treatments, you will meet with your provider to discuss your aesthetic goals and what to expect during and afterward.
During the treatment, your surgeon uses a thin needle (cannula) to insert various threads under the skin. The total procedure takes about an hour to perform.
Afterward, you can go home right away. However, you may experience mild bruising, swelling, or discomfort. Your surgeon will give you specific aftercare instructions so you can feel like your usual self in no time.

PDO Thread Lift Aftercare & Recovery

Thread lift recovery is relatively mild compared to similar procedures like surgical facelifts. However, specific aftercare instructions are recommended to encourage proper healing.

Some of the thread lift aftercare tips include:

Since a thread lift is low-risk, there is virtually no risk of scars, severe bruising, or other serious complications after the procedure. In some rare events, people may experience light irritation, infection, or the sutures becoming visible underneath the skin. If any of this occurs, the sutures may be removed, and you will be treated appropriately with antibiotics and proper medical care.

Thread Lift Results*

Thread lifting improves the skin and the appearance of sagging skin by redefining mid-facial contours in two ways:

An Immediate Lift

The procedure immediately lifts the mid-facial skin tissue without invasive surgery. The results are like a traditional facelift, except excess skin is not removed. Instead, the threads suspend the skin. This procedure pulls the skin up and back with the sutures providing an instant tightening effect without a painful surgical procedure.

Gradual Volume Improvements

One of the most significant benefits of a thread lift is the gradual volume improvements. This procedure provides progressive results that restore volume over time. They do this by triggering collagen production and neovascularization, restoring volume and contour.

As always, individual experiences will vary.*

PDO Threads vs PLLA Threads

There are two main types of threads used. These are PDO Threads or PLLA Threads.

PDO Threads

A thread lift using PDO threads or Polydioxanone involves the use of PDO sutures. These are known as the most recent treatment for skin tightening and lifting. This type of thread is made of PDO (polydioxanone) material, a complex sugar. Unlike other threads, PDO threads are uniquely absorbable and improve skin sagging progressively. PDO threads stimulate collagen production under the skin. When the thread is inserted, it acts as a “scaffold” for the skin, helping to “hold” the skin against the effects of gravity and aging.

VS

PLLA Threads

Thread lifts using PLLA Threads or Poly-L-Lactic Acid threads. Procedures using this type of thread have been observed as more effective for stimulating collagen procedures when compared to the PDO threads. This material has a lifetime of 2 years or more. When it dissolves, the PLLA material breaks down into an ordinarily harmless substance like lactate, glucose, carbon dioxide, or water.

Both PDO Threads and PLLA Threads are available at Calista Skin & Laser Center. During your consultation, you can speak one-on-one with our knowledgeable provider to determine which thread type best suits your skin and aesthetic goals.

Thread Lift Candidacy

The best candidate for a non-surgical facelift using threads is someone experiencing the early signs of aging. Most candidates are in their late 30s to early 50s, do not expect the dramatic results of a surgical facelift, and want to avoid plastic surgery and complicated recovery.
Since this type of procedure is low risk, it is an excellent option for people with conditions limiting their candidacy for a traditional facelift. This includes people with high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or other conditions.

Speaking with a medical professional before committing to a cosmetic procedure, even a minimally invasive one like a thread lift, is a good idea.

How long does a thread lift last?

The results from your thread lift procedure are temporary. According to clinical studies, the longevity has been anywhere from 1 to 9 years, depending on the age and health of the patient, the degree of skin laxity, the thickness of the skin, and the adequacy of facial volume.1 Over time, the threads dissolve and are absorbed by the body.

Is a thread lift painful?

This procedure does not use general anesthesia. Instead, you receive a local anesthetic, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. However, afterward, you may experience mild discomfort or soreness.

How much does a thread lift cost in Fort Worth, Texas?

The average thread lift cost is around $2,050, depending on your provider and area. If you want to learn how much this treatment will cost you in Fort Worth, contact Calista Skin & Laser Center for a consultation. You will speak to a knowledge provider about your specific needs and expectations during your visit. We work hard to provide affordable, non-surgical facelift treatments using a thread lift.

Can PDO Threads be combined with filler?

Absolutely! PDO threads pair well with dermal fillers. Our clients combine these popular aesthetic treatments to improve their appearances with little downtime. By combining PDO threads and filler, you can achieve complete facial rejuvenation.

Thread lifts actively lift and tighten the entire face, while facial fillers provide volume, decrease the appearance of wrinkles, add captivating facial contours, and so much more. Combining thread lifts with dermal fillers is an excellent way to address aging concerns without undergoing a major surgery like a facelift.
